BikerDownwebGloucestershire: Biker Down

Biker Down is a free course for motorcyclists and motorcycle clubs. The course, which lasts about three hours, is in three parts: how to manage the scene of a bike crash; taking care of a casualty; and what may work (or not work) when it comes to making yourself more visible to other road users.

South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset

South Gloucestershire Council provides two free training courses for post-test riders living in South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset:
• Motorcycle Training Days – a one day training course concentrating on rural riding, and bends in particular.
• Commuter Motorcycle Training Days – a one day course teaching how to make safe progress through urban areas.

In addition the council offers:
• Free Bike Checks – dates are set throughout the summer.
• Competition to win a REEVU Helmet – the world’s first rear view helmet. You can also win a Forcefield Back Protector and pair of Hood Motorcycle Jeans – to enter, email ‘Bike Night Draw’ to: motorcycling@southglos.gov.uk
