RideSafe BackSafe is run by bikers, for bikers across the north west region. We promote further training to all bikers to improve their riding. We also emphasise the benefits of and reasons why protective clothing should be worn at all times.
Cheshire West and Cheshire: Various courses
The Council and Cheshire Constabulary run several courses aimed at riders who have passed their test and are looking to improve their skills.
Lancashire: Various courses
Lancashire County Council offers a range of courses that can help you develop into a safer, more confident rider.
Manchester 500 is a dedicated IAM Motorcycle group. We have been around for more than 30 years delivering the IAM Skills for life programme. Our observers are all volunteers but we
deliver the programme in a professional way and take what we do seriously.
Our program is based around a set course with one to one coaching generally on the first and third Sunday of every month (March to October/early November). We try to allocate a different observer to the associate for each run, however we are flexible and if that does not work for the individual then we do offer a dedicated observer. If people cannot attend on Sundays, we can usually sort them with midweek or evening rides.
Warrington Council: moped and scooter safety
This session is run at the start of the new academic year to provide checks on the moped/scooter to see if they have been derestricted and a one hour follow up lesson on safer riding, protective clothing, common mistakes and impairment.
